MEDRAD Interventional AngioJet Ultra for Interventional Radiology
The AngioJet ®Ultra Thrombectomy System is a highly effective, proven treatment for the removal of thrombus from arteries and veins. The AngioJet’s innovative design is based on the Bernoulli principle which found that high velocity fluid creates a local low pressure zone. The AngioJet® pumps saline through the catheter where it creates fine jets of saline that are focused backwards from the tip of the catheter to create a negative pressure zone. AngioJet catheters are designed with Cross-Stream® technology which optimises the fluid flow to maximise thrombus removal. The AngioJet® draws thrombus into the catheter where it is fragmented and evacuated to a waste bag.
Indications for use:
The AngioJet ®Ultra Thrombectomy System may be used to remove thrombus from:
- Peripheral Arteries
- Peripheral Veins
- AV Fistulas
- Vein Grafts
- Synthetic Grafts
- Coronary Arteries
- Coronary Bi-pass vein grafts
AngioJet Catheter Sets
Are designed to maximise thrombus removal for varying clinical situations.

Proven effectiveness for the treatment of DVT
The Xpeedior and DVX catheters may be used with Possis Power Pulse Delivery: combination therapy to maximise thrombus removal especially in sub acute situations.
- Use the AngioJet to directly infuse lytic into the thrombus
- Switch to thrombectomy mode and remove the softened thrombus
- Highly effective for rapid treatment of DVT
- Restore blood flow, maintain venous valve function
